As much as I enjoy shopping for new clothes, I also love picking out makeup and beauty items. Sephora is definitely my go-to place when looking for new makeup. The selection there is pretty incomparable and I am always lookin' to rake in those
Beauty Insider points ;)
But there are certain items that I just cannot justify spending a lot of money on cosmetics. Thank goodness that there are products out in the beauty world that I love just as much as more expensive items.
Here are some of my cheap and chic, budget-friendly beauty buys:
e.l.f. is known for their super cheap and great quality beauty products. This palette is no exception. It boasts 100 eyeshadows for $10.00, making each shade only $.10. I really enjoy the variety of shades and oftentimes use this product when I am trying to imitate a look I've seen on a youtube makeup tutorial video.
Ardell lashes are constanlty talked about by beauty professionals and celebrity makeup artists as their go-to false lashes. I own a few pairs and have used each more than three times. They have held up perfectly. My favorite pair is the
135, which has a little flair on the end, but isn't too dramatic.
I have tried just about every drugstore gel eyeliner, and this is, without a doubt, the best one. It's part of Sonia Kashuk's beauty line for Target. I have tried this liner in both the brown and black color, and definitely lasts all day.
The first time I bought these wipes, they were an impulse buy when I couldn't find my previous favorite Garnier Nutritioniste wipes. Now I feel the need to stock up on these whenever I go to Target. I am kind of lazy when it comes to taking off my makeup, and prefer to use a simple wipe rather than a makeup removing cleanser. One problem with using wipes is that they can be pricey. But not these babies! These are honestly the best makeup wipes I have ever used, and the best price I have found! You can find the $1.00 pack in the travel sized section of cosmetics.
I haven't tried a large amount of top coats, but I
can tell you that this one works way better than OPI's top coat. I am crazy about this one so much as of late (I even
tweeted about it). This makes my nails super shiny and ensures that my manicure lasts a whole week without chipping - a miracle, in my opinion.
I actually got this product in my Christmas stocking this past holiday season. I hadn't really been using a heat protectant very often before then, but I thought I'd give this one a whirl. I use this after I've blow dried my hair and immediately before I straighten it. And it really does make my hair super smooth. No more dry and coarse hair after flat ironing for me!
Do any of my readers use these products? If you decide to try out any of my budget friendly beauty buys, let me know how you like them!
